Filming is underway for season 2 of Wednesday. While fans of the series are eagerly waiting to see what will happen to Wednesday Addams, the lead star Jenna Ortega admitted that she had a great fear and panic about returning to the screens for the second season.
Jenna Ortega stated that it did not take long to return to the role
Appearing on The Tonight Show hosted by Jimmy Fallon, Ortega said that returning to Wednesday caused him great anxiety due to the time that had passed since the filming of the first season, but it didn’t take him long to return to the role. Ortaga explained:
“I was a bit scared because it had been years since we shot the first season of Wednesday. We shot it in Romania two or three years ago. So I wasn’t sure how it was… I think my mind was full of thoughts. But as soon as I got into the role, the look on my face and the thoughts in my head completely changed. It was like, ‘Oh, okay, I know how to do this’.”
Ortega will also sit in the producer’s chair for the new season
The young actress Jenna Ortega also confirmed that she has taken on the role of executive producer for the second season of the series. She said that this position allows her to make various decisions about the show, which is very exciting.
“For example, I can decide how blue someone will be, where their brain will go on the floor, what the prosthetics will look like,” Ortega said, adding that she quickly adapted to her role as a producer and enjoyed it immensely.
